All patients were being treated for symptomatic vasospasm secondary to subarachnoid hemorrhage. In each case, the tip of the infusion catheter was positioned in the internal carotid artery in close proximity to the ostium of the ophthalmic artery. Pupillary dilatation in all patients readily resolved after termination of the infusion.
