A 2-day-old neonate born via spontaneous vaginal delivery at term to a G1P1 mother presents for evaluation of repeated apneic episodes. Pregnancy complicated by Group B Streptococcus +ve status of mother; delivery complicated by right shoulder dystocia. Patient was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit for work-up due to deteriorating respiratory status, requiring 21% FiO2 via CPAP. EEG was remarkable for questionable focal seizure activity in the temporal lobes.
